SOME GOOD ADVICE FOR HOCHUL AND COLLINS

COLLINS REMARK ABOUT CANCER AN ANSWER TO PRAYERS OF HOCHUL CAMPAIGN

Clearly one of the primary hopes for victory of the Cong. Kathy Hochul campaign presupposes that her opponent, Chris Collins, will commit a series of verbal gaffes in the tradition of his previous “This is my county”…”table dancing” statements…So they’ve got to be pleased by Collins’ recent statement to a web interviewer to the effect that people don’t die of prostate or breast cancer anymore. Whatever the merits of the controversy, it serves if nothing else to put attention on the Collins reputation for verbal insensitivity.

Meanwhile, our sources think Collins is compounding his mistake by dealing with Hochul is such harsh terms.

“His nasty tone only reinforces the image of Collins as a not so nice guy,” one expert suggests.. “Since he’s already ahead in the polls, why not try to soften his image by being at least a little more gentle while still making the same points. Why use a meat ax when you only need a scalpel?”

As for Hochul, when Collins talks about the ‘Hochul/Obama plan to put government bureaucrats in between patients and doctors,’ she’s got to challenge him: “Exactly where does it say that in the law,” she should ask. “ This law has been in effect for years. Name one instance in which anyone’s relationship with their doctor has been interfered with!”…She can’t be afraid to challenge him on his attacks on the Affordable Care Act while extolling its more popular provisions.”
