Niagara County Chairman Dan Rivera, and Supreme Court Justice James Dillon were among those who attended Tuesday night’s fundraiser for the NYS Supreme Court campaign of Catherine Nugent Panepinto at the City Grill in Buffalo. Panepinto is running in the Eighth Judicial Distict which encompasses an eight county area including both Erie and Niagara Counties
Erie County Democratic Chairman Lenihan personally introduced Panepinto, who currently works as a confidential law clerk to a Supreme Court Justice while also serving as a Buffalo School Board member. Once it was her turn to speak, the candidate gave a graceful and stirring speech highlighting her long career in the law and public service. Her talk was interrupted by applause and even affectionate laughter several times.
“I think Catherine Panepinto will be a great Supreme Court Justice,” said one attendee. “She is very dedicated to serving this community as everyone knows. And, she has really won the respect of everyone with whom she has worked.”
